Do you want to argue about politics?

I don’t.

We live in dangerous times, and it is easy to lose old friends in a political argument. I recommend caution, and I recommend respect for politicians who are fairly elected. We have the option to agree or disagree.

I also recommend looking at the big picture. There are lessons that we need to learn about the world, and about our own lives. We need to see our changing environment, and reverberations that will affect our future. Big things are happening in our world, and there is a spiritual lesson for us.

Political analysts in Australia and Canada have the same conclusion. Elections in both countries produced unexpected results. More Conservative parties were expected to win, but then something happened, and more liberal parties were elected. This is a shock. In both countries.

So what happened? What caused these two political earthquakes?

According to the experts, Donald Trump was elected in the United States, and that made the difference. If you are offended by the opinions in the linked videos, I apologize, but politics can be a nasty game:

Australia:

Canada:

There will be many debates and arguments about what happened in three of the largest countries in the world, but it’s also important to note that something really big happened, and most of the world is surprised.

In general, one person was elected to be the President of one of the largest and most powerful countries in the world. A few weeks after that, the new president had a powerful influence on elections in two of the largest countries in the world. Now both of those countries have a government that the experts did not expect.

Something has shaken our world.

So, let’s deal with some potential arguments. Should we argue about Donald Trump? Probably not. Is this big event in our world good or bad? Are we coming to the end? I will leave that with God.

We are coming to a change in world history. Jesus spoke about future events, and when He predicted some huge events, the Lord told us: “When you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near” (Luke 21: 31).

I encourage you to read more in the book of Luke, and chapter 21. We are supposed to know, when changes come on us and we are supposed to look up.

Now, we have political changes that will affect the way we live, and they are reverberating around the world. We seem to have what the Bible promised us, Earth-changing events that involve heads of state, often called kings, in the Bible. We were warned about a shakeup of the nations, in the whole world.

We probably all know about the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. That story, about future events, is in the last book of the Bible, Revelation and chapter six.

Here is what we know about the first horseman:

Now I watched when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say with a voice like thunder, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a white horse! And its rider had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering, and to conquer.” (Revelation 6: 1)

If you want to know about the other three horsemen, I encourage you to read more in Revelation chapter six.

That is a violent change in our world, and we are promised that it will happen, at the end of our time in history. What we see now are reverberations, but we can imagine things expanding, and the arguments becoming physical.

If present trends continue …

Also, the prophet Daniel told us about future kings, and warned us that a few great leaders would change the world. For example::

And the king shall do as he wills. He shall exalt himself and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak astonishing things against the God of gods. He shall prosper till the indignation is accomplished; for what is decreed shall be done.”  (Daniel 11: 36)

I encourage you to read more in Daniel and chapter eleven.

We should know, that we have been promised big changes in our world, in the Bible. The prophets warned us that world-wide changes will come on us, and the last and biggest change will happen when God intervenes and rescues us.

We call that the second coming.

So, what can we learn from the changes that we are seeking now? We can see that changes, around the world, can happen. The Earth can be shaken. We live in that kind of world.

I don’t want to criticize any politicians, especially those who are fairly elected, but we can see the real possibility of world changes that were promised in the Bible. There may be other influences, soon.

It is time to look up.
