In a recent interview with a Lebanese news outlet, a senior Hamas representative, Osama Hamdan, stated that the terrorist organization was still calling for the total annihilation of Israel, Breitbart reports.
On this issue, there would be ‘no compromise’, Hamdan said in his interview with Almanar news agency, which is operated by Hezbollah, another Iranian-backed terrorist group.
The Hamas leader added that the terrorist group was opposed to a two-state solution.
When Israel was set up as a nation, restoring the Jews to their homeland, it was also believed the Palestinians should have their own country as well.
However, the Palestinians rejected this two-state solution, because accepting it would legitimize the existence of the Israeli nation.
This is not the first time we have heard calls for the total destruction of Israel, the slogan “From the River to the sea, Palestine will be Free’ uttered by pro-Palestine supporters around the world essentially calls for the elimination of Israel.
In addition to this, Breitbart columnist Francis Martel writes, “Mahmoud al-Zahar, another top Hamas official, said shortly after October 7 that the organization was seeking to eradicate Israel, Judaism, and ‘treacherous Christianity,’ predicting a global victory for jihad.”
