In what many believe is an accurate portrayal of what is really going on, the son of a Muslim Imam based in Gaza is calling for the end of Hamas’ brutal rule, The Blaze reports.

The father of Ala Mohammed Mushtaha was recently kidnapped by Hamas because he refused to support and preach the terrorist group’s propaganda.

In an article for The Free Press, Mushtaha said that Palestinians no longer support Hamas’ brutal regime and are becoming more vocal in their anger towards the group since the terrorist group’s brutal invasion of Israel.

The reason for this, Mushtaha said, is because “ironically, when there is fighting, Hamas goes underground, and people can be more vocal about how Hamas has ruined our lives.”

“People are starting to publicly violate the laws, rules, dictates, and orders of Hamas,” Mushtaha wrote. “They are openly cursing Hamas and its leaders in the streets and markets, and ignoring the directives of the few Hamas officials and police still above ground. They have caused so much damage, it’s undeniable.”

“They’ve imposed themselves on our society, on my father, for too long,” he continued. “We’re all paying the price. People want freedom. We hope deeply that this war will end, and that Hamas will end with it.”

Hamas seized power in 2006 after winning a general election. The next year, the terrorist organization assassinated members of the opposition party and there has not been an election since, and Hamas has ruled with an iron fist since.

Of course, if you watch the deluded university students marching through American streets, calling for Israel’s genocide, you would think Hamas is Palestine’s savior.
