Reality star Bear Grylls, 49, recently shared on X about the fulfillment of his lifelong dream of getting water baptized in the Jordan River, the same place where Jesus was baptized.
Grylls is a prominent British TV presenter and writer. The former army vet is best known for his popular reality TV series, Man vs Wild, which ran from 2006 to 2011. He has since starred in several reality programs in both Britain and US, including Running wild with Bear Grylls and The Island with Bear Grylls.
Bear described his Christian faith as the backbone of his life in a foreword that he wrote for Pete Greig’s book, Dirty Glory: Go Where Your Best Prayers Take You.
In an interview with CBN, Bear stated that he always had an awareness of God growing up. But he didn’t come to a full realization of faith in Christ until he was 16 at the death of his Godfather, who he considered his second father.
