The president of the Chicago Teacher’s Union, Stacy Gates, who just a couple of weeks ago labeled private schools as fascist has been caught sending her oldest son to a private school, The Blaze reports.

In an interview with South Side Weekly in August 2023, Gates was asked if she had any concerns about parents having a choice to send their children to private schools.

Gates replied:

“Yes, we are concerned about the encroachment of fascists in Chicago. We are concerned about the marginalization of public education through the eyes of those who’ve never intended for Black people to be educated. So we’re going to fight tooth and nail to make sure that type of fascism and racism does not exist on our Board of Education.”

Apparently, those fascist concerns were not enough to stop Gates from pulling her son out of a government-run school and sending him to a private Catholic School this fall.

Parents should have the choice to send their children to the best schools available for their children and their tax dollars should follow them.
