It is incredible, but Sound of Freedom, the true story of a former Homeland Security agent who left his job to fight child sex trafficking, has just hit $85.5 million in sales in the US, according to Box Office Mojo.

The movie which was released on July 4, 2023, America’s Independence Day, has on a daily basis been no lower than the third most watched box office movie in America between July 4 and 16th and since July 10, has been either first or second. It dropped to second with the arrival of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One in theaters on July 12.

While attendance at movies drops off the longer they are out, what is astounding about Sound of Freedom is that sales on its second weekend were 26% higher than the first full weekend.
