In an interview with the Christian Post, actor Nick Shakoour spoke of his recent encounter with the Holy Spirit.
Shakoour plays the role of Zebedee, the father of James and John, in the hit series, Chosen, which portrays the life of Jesus and the disciples. The series has been viewed by 500 million people worldwide.
Shakoour had been invited to attend a church conference last September and realizing that something was missing in his life had people lay hands on him and pray for him.
He described what happened next as a supernatural encounter with God.
“I ended up at this conference, and the next thing I knew, my organs felt like they were being burned away. [It felt like] I was being vibrated and microwaved at the same time. And from the outside in, He just overtook me, and I fully came to understand who He is,” Shakoour told Christian Post reporter, Jeannie Ortega Law.
“Since then, it’s been one encounter after the next, one relationship after the next. The reason I say I don’t believe in Him anymore is because I know Him now.”
Chosen was produced by Angel Studios, who also produced the most recent hit movie about child trafficking, Sound of Freedom.
