A recent poll conducted by The Seattle Times and Suffolk University found that 33% of Seattle residents are actually thinking of moving out of the city, Breitbart reports.

The poll conducted in mid-June 2023 found that the two main reasons for wanting to leave are:

  • 37% cited increasing housing prices as their primary reason for leaving, which has been compounded by increasing interest rates,
  • 34% said that public safety was their biggest concern, due to the rising homelessness and crime rates in the city.

It is part of a growing trend across America, where people elect left-wing politicians, and a few years later their mishandling of the city, including implementing soft-on-crime policies, results in people wanting to leave.
