20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, being understood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse. (Romans 1:20 NASV)
People get the impression that the theory of evolution, that all the complex life we see today evolved from a single cell that spontaneously sprung out of some type of primordial soup, is now a fact.
Remember that evolution can never be more than a theory, because it can not be scientifically proven.
But what many of us are not seeing is the questioning that is going on about the theory in the back rooms of our scientific community. Many are seriously asking if evolution can explain the complexity we are seeing today.
Creation Moments provides more details:
The world famous astronomer Sir Fred Hoyle announced that there is so much information within higher forms of life that they could not have evolved. Dr. Hoyle said that he could not understand why so many biologists deny this obvious fact and accept evolution.
The scientific world was solidly shaken when Dr. Colin Patterson, head of paleontology at the British Museum, admitted at the American Museum of Natural History in Chicago that he knew nothing about evolution that was true. He said that he had asked other scientists if they could name one thing about evolution that was true. Silence was the usual answer. Dr. Patterson called the evolutionary theory “anti-knowledge.” He especially faulted those who say evolution is a fact, yet admit they don’t know how it works.

And others are saying similar things:
In 2014, University of Manchester physicist, Brian Cox, admitted in a documentary for the BBC entitled the Human Universe that we should quit wasting our time looking for aliens on other planets, because what happened on earth was so ‘miraculous’ it could never be repeated.
“There is only one advance technological civilization in this galaxy and there has only ever been one– and that’s us. We are unique,” Cox said.
And in an article entitled “Do we need a new theory of evolution?” for the left-wing and very secular British newspaper, The Guardian, Stephen Buranyi came to similar conclusion.
“A new wave of scientists argues that mainstream evolutionary theory needs an urgent overhaul. Their opponents have dismissed them as misguided careerists – and the conflict may determine the future of biology,” Buranyi writes.
