Hundreds of Christians gathered on land near Coleshill, Birmingham, England on Thursday, June 8, 2023, that was chosen as the site for the construction of the world’s largest Christian landmark called the Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer, Premier Christian News reports.

The group made up of Christians from a variety of church backgrounds ranging from Greek Orthodox to Pentecostal prayed, blew shofars, and dedicated the land set aside for the project expected to be completed by 2026.

As part of the dedication, the organizers set up ten prayer stations around the site that provided an overview of what the landmark will look like. Each station also had one story of answered prayer taken from a database of tens of thousands of instances of answered prayer gathered by the organizers.

One person attending the event realized that he was actually the answer to a prayer mentioned at one of the stations.

“It was the miraculous story of a baby proclaimed dead by the family’s GP, only to be found alive and healthy after an evening spent praying for a miracle,” wrote Richard Gamble, who is heading the Eternal Wall project, for Premier Christian News.

In an interview with the Daily Signal, Gamble told of another story involving a person diagnosed with cancer.

“We’ve got one story of somebody who had cancer, and a lot of people were praying for them, and the surgeon was going to cut out the tumor, and the tumor shrunk before his eyes,” Gamble said.

The monument designed to look like a massive infinity loop will be composed of one million bricks and stand 51 meters (ca. 167 feet) high.

The organizers have received all the necessary planning permission and raised 90% of the estimated US$12.6 million needed to construct the monument.

Once completed, people visiting the site located 90 miles (ca. 145 km) north of London will be able to point their cell phones at a brick and see their phones light up with a story behind an answered prayer.

So far the group has gathered 80,000 testimonials of answered prayer from 85 countries and hopes to have 200,000 by the end of the year. The ultimate goal is to have one million testimonials, one for each brick, by the time the project is completed in 2026.
