Claiming that the freedom to worship God is protected under the US Constitution, Christian actress Sam Sorbo attended Godspeak Calvary Chapel in Newbury Park, California this past Sunday (Aug 23, 2020).
Sam is the wife of Christian actor Kevin Sorbo.
California Gov Gavin Newsom has issued lockdown orders restricting church services to 25% of capacity or a 100-person maximum.
In the face of this, several churches, including John MacArthur’s Grace Community Church in Los Angeles, are openly violating these orders stating that while church services are severely restricted, the government is allowing BLM protests to continue even though they are violating Covid health restrictions.
LifeSite News recently interviewed several people, including Sam, who attended the Godspeak church service this past Sunday:
“It’s my God-given right to be able to worship God freely, and it’s protected by the Constitution,” Sorbo stated.
She also explained that it’s frustrating to see the government overstep its bounds and disregard the constitutional, God-given rights of every American citizen. She encouraged Christians to take a stand in the face of government restrictions that have “no scientific basis whatsoever.”
