According to a survey by Pew Research only 17% of the people protesting in the US are black. The biggest majority are white at 46% and the second largest group was Hispanics at 22%. Asians are fourth at 8%.
Most of the demonstrators are peaceful. During a protest in Madison, WI, it was noted that about 150 people broke off from a peaceful demonstration numbering about 1,000 and started rioting, setting fires and looting and vandalizing businesses.
So who is the source of the violence? Breitbart writes:
“Protests in Seattle, Washington, Portland, Oregon; Washington, D.C.; and New York City, New York have been dominated by Antifa members and Black Lives Matter activists.”
The Pew survey also showed that most of the protestors are young adults and 80% said they are Democrats or support Democrats.
