Is the March 20, 2015 solar eclipse connected to an ominous solar eclipse of 1492?

[by Dean Smith] I didn’t realize this, but solar eclipses are connected with other historical eclipses. NASA refers to these groups as a Saros cycle. Blood moons run in similar cycles as well.

A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the earth and the sun. A Saros cycle refers to groups of eclipses where the moon has the same geometry, the same distance from the earth and occurs at the same time of the year as earlier eclipses. These cycles occur at intervals of 18 years, 11 days and 8 hours.

Essentially the solar eclipse occurring on March 20, 2015 is repeating an eclipse that occurred 18 years, 11 days prior and that one is connected to an eclipse that happened 18 years 11 days before it.

Because of this curious feature, one can trace this year’s eclipse back through the centuries.

When God created the heavens, as well as causing seasons, the stars, sun and moon would at times also serve as signs:

“and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years;” (Genesis 1:14 NASV)

Some believe eclipses and blood moons can be significant omens. The Book of Revelation says the opening of the apocalyptic sixth seal would be linked to four signs including a solar eclipse and blood moon occurring close together (Revelation 6:12-13). Curiously, a blood moon will occur April 4, 2015. However, all four signs would need to make an appearance to mark the opening of the sixth seal.

In an interview with Breaking Israel News, Bob O’Dell co-founder of Root Sources said he traced the March 20th, eclipse back through history. What he discovered was interesting. It is linked to a very fateful eclipse that occurred in April 1492, that had a particular significance to the Jews.

That was the year Spain ordered the Jews expelled from that country. In 1481, the Spanish inquisition started. The Catholic church persecuted all those considered heretics including Jews.

This culminated with the Alhambra Decree issued by the Spanish monarchy on March 31, 1492. That decree ordered all Jews be expelled from Spain effective July 31 that year.

O’Dell discovered the 1492 eclipse took place on April 26 — between the announcement and the expulsion date.

If the March 20, 2015 eclipse, which was described as breathtaking by England’s BBC, is part of that same Saros family is it also warning of similar troubles ahead for the Jews? Like 1492, this year’s eclipse fell during the Jewish passover.

Maybe, maybe not, but the surprising re-election of Benjamin Netanyahu as president of Israel on March 17, 2015 is causing serious conflict with the United States government.

For decades, America has been a strong ally of Israel. However, during the recent Israeli election, Netanyahu stated he opposed the setting up of a Palestinian state as it would open the door for more radical attacks on Israel.

In an interview with NRG news, Netanyahu said:

“I think that anyone who is going to establish a Palestinian state today and evacuate lands is giving attack grounds to the radical Islam against the state of Israel.”

The reason is the extremist organization Hamas controls Gaza. One of the goals of Hamas, which is actually stated in its charter, calls for the annihilation of Israel. The statement reads:

“Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.”

With Hamas playing a significant role in Palestinian politics, how can Israel support the setting up of a state calling for Israel’s destruction?

Because of Netanyahu’s opposition to a Palestinian state, it was a thinly disguised secret that the Obama administration opposed his re-election and actually supported Netanyahu’s opponents during the Israeli election.

Up to this point, the American government, with its security council veto power, has opposed any UN resolutions calling for setting up of a Palestinian state.

However, an article in Foreign Policy magazine stated unnamed diplomats are suggesting the American government will reconsider its position of blocking such UN resolutions, if Netanyahu’s coalition government opposes peace talks with the terrorists.

Such a change in foreign policy would be an ill wind for Israel or perhaps more accurately an ill eclipse.
