On December 18, 2010, singers from Journey of Faith church in Manhattan Beach, CA surprised shoppers at South Bay Galleria in nearby Redondo Beach with a flash mob presentation of Christmas carols.

Journey of Faith is over a 100 years old and has strong emphasis on children’s ministry. The church started in 1911, when a group of  believers used a school bus to offer Sunday school classes to children and parents in neighbouring Hermosa, Beach. That ministry proved so popular, it quickly transformed into a full-fledged church.

As the church grew, they needed new facilities. In 1957, the ministry relocated to Manhattan Beach located along the Pacific coast.

Pastored by Dr. Glen Martin, today Journey of Faith has 2000 members who worship at its newly constructed 18,000-square-foot facility.
