Muslims threw Christians off refugee boat crossing the Mediterranean

[by Dean Smith – updated April 18, 2015] Italian police are reporting that Muslims on board a refugee boat crossing the North Mediterranean Sea from Libya threw 12 Christians off the boat. The 12 were murdered simply because they were Christians. The rubber boat held 105 people when it left Libya on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Somewhere along their journey Muslims on board became aware of the Christians. The Muslims were from Senegal, Ivory Coast and Mali. [Since we posted this story, there have been more revelations on what happened on board the raft carrying the 105 refugees. Apparently, the rubber boat started leaking and people began praying. The Muslims on board became enraged when they heard a boy praying to God instead of allah. Screaming allah is great they threw the boy overboard. When other Christians tried to help the boy, the Muslims turned on them as well.] The murdered Christians were from Ghana and Nigeria and were likely fleeing the escalating Muslim violence against Christians in those countries.

[by Sandy McIntosh] World leaders seem paralyzed by the Islamic State. The most recent news is that IS is bulldozing ancient ruins. Apparently they are destroying the historical heritage of the entire human race, with the attitude, we don’t need a past, we just need their future. Future generations have lost part of their heritage forever. The problem is us, not them. The world has no solution to this horrible problem. I believe the failure comes from our western bias, we believe in our own success but we are confronted by a victorious enemy. World news is grim. The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria continues to shock the world and no-one can stop them. Thousands of Russian soldiers are in another country, Ukraine and they won’t leave. Iran seems close to building a nuclear bomb, and Saudi Arabia has responded by planning to build its own.

Imam expresses concern about rapid increase in Muslim converts since terrorist attack in Ottawa

[by Dean Smith] According to an article in the National Post, there has been a sharp increase in people converting to Islam since the terrorist attack on Canada’s House of Commons in Ottawa this past fall. The attack on Canada’s parliament by a lone terrorist took place on October 22, 2014. Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, who converted to Islam in 2004, killed a soldier guarding the War Memorial on Parliament Hill. Armed with a 30-30 Winchester, he then made his way to the House of Commons, where Members of Parliament of both the governing Conservative Party and Liberal Party were having Caucus meetings. Prime Minister Stephen Harper was also in attendance.

Has an Islamic Caliphate been set up inside Sweden?

[by Dean Smith] According to a police report released in October 2014, there are now 55 enclaves in Sweden where Muslim extremists have basically taken control.  These are areas where even non-Muslims are forced to conform to Sharia law. In some areas, Muslim extremists have at times even set up checkpoints along the borders to control and monitor those entering and leaving these Muslim enclaves. Describing these areas, Daniel Pipes, an expert on Middle East issues said: “A more precise name for these zones would be Dar al-Islam — the House of Islam or the place where Islam rules.” According to Herbert London of the Gatestone Institute, an Inman named Adly Abu Hajar based in Malmo, Sweden (a southern seaport) described the country this way: “Sweden is the best Islamic state.”

Pakistani woman sentenced to hanging for blasphemy

[by Dean Smith] While in the U.S., Houston City Council has subpoenaed the speeches, notes, emails and even texts of five pastors concerning any discussions they had on homosexuality, gender identity and the city’s openly gay mayor Annise Parker with threats of imprisonment or fines if they don’t comply, on the other side of the world a woman is fighting for her life for much the same reason — the freedom to be a Christian and believe in the Bible. It is only the severity of the punishment that is different. Pakistani Christian Asia Bibi, 46, languishes in jail, after a Pakistani court sentenced her to hanging for blaspheming Muhammad. She recently lost an appeal to have this death sentence over turned. The reality is, the extremist state is punishing Asia because she would not recant her Christian faith and become a Muslim.

An English convert to Islam, Lauren Booth, published an article on CNN “Muslims and extremists – we’re not the same.” There are many opinions like this, telling us we are wrong about Islam. It is not a violent religion of terrorists and murderers. This defense of Islam is misguided. People I know think about Islam about as much as they think about Hindus or Jehovah’s Witnesses; and we don’t think all Muslims are terrorists. I met a Muslim at work who was a complete fanatic. He was from Pakistan and every conversation was about his beliefs. I enjoyed talking to him because he taught me so many things I didn’t know. Things about the sport of cricket. He was a sports fanatic and his fondest wish was for Pakistan to defeat India on a cricket pitch. He never talked about religion to me. If you meet a Pakistani, mention cricket and you will not hear much about religion. Most Muslims are ordinary people who follow the religion they were born into. They don’t get to choose, …

Time to pray: The church is under attack on multiple fronts

Fox 91 reports that three churches in Columbus, Indiana were vandalized with verse citations from the Qur’an spray-painted on their walls. They seem to be a direct attack on the Christian faith by Muslim extremists in the area. The three vandalized churches included the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, the East Columbus Christian Church and the Lakeview Church of Christ. St. Bartholomew’s church had the verse reference “Qur’an 3:151” sprayed on its wall in black paint. The verse reads:

More British Muslims fighing for Islamic extremists than the British Army

According to Khalid Mahmood, a British MP from Birmingham, England, there are more British Muslims fighting for Islamic State (IS) extremists in the Middle East than there are serving in the British army. The IS — which goes by various acronyms including ISIS (Islamic State in Syria) — is attempting to set up an Islamic Caliphate in the Middle East. The British army says there are 600 Muslims serving in the British army. MP Khalid Mahmood believes over the last three years 1,500 British Muslims have joined the IS in its fight in the Middle East.

Finnish reporter’s outrage at Israel, as it uses her media report to expose Hamas’ brutality

Finnish reporter Aishi Zidan was in Gaza to do one thing – report on the suffering of the Gaza people because of Israel’s battle with Hamas terrorists. Instead, she inadvertently confirmed exactly what Israel has said from the beginning of the conflict, that Hamas was intentionally endangering Gaza civilians by using them as a protective shield. As Zidan was doing her report for Finland’s Helsingin Sanomat, she stated without thinking that at 2 am she noticed that Hamas was launching a missile from the backyard of the Gaza-based Shifa Hospital — yes a hospital. However, in 2011 she was living in Chibok, Nigeria, the same city where the Muslim extremists group, Boko Haram, kidnapped nearly 300 girls attending a school with the intent of selling them as wives or into sexual slavery.
