Liberated Artisans

In a previous article on “Craftsmen in Captivity ” we discussed the many ways in which artists and musicians are taken into captivity. Today, we want to “declare liberty to those  who are bound”. By open acknowledgment and repentance from sin and idols of the heart, one can set forth on a path of freedom for their spirit, soul and body. The Psalmist recognized the one LORD God, Elohim, as the great deliverer who could literally cause the freed captives to dream and sing. “When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion We were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue within singing. Then they said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.” The LORD has done great things for us, Whereof we are glad. Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.” (Psalm 126:1- 4) When Jesus Christ read a scroll written by the prophet Isaiah, he recognized the anointing of the Spirit of the LORD. God gave …

¿Otra confirmación del éxodo de los judíos de Egipto?

English version: Yet another confirmation of the Jews exodus out of Egypt Cuando usted lee sobre la liberación de Israel de Egipto en el Libro del Éxodo, la Biblia registra el país sufriendo diez plagas significativas o juicios antes de que el faraón egipcio finalmente permitiera que los judíos se fueran.

Kenyan lawyer trying to launch lawsuit against Israel over death of Jesus

Kenyan lawyer Dola Indidis wants to sue both the State of Israel and the Italian government over the miscarriage of justice that occurred at  Jesus’ trial and crucifixion. Dola works as a lawyer in Kenya and once served as a Kenyan Judiciary spokesman. Tiberius, who was the Roman Emperor at the time, King Herod (King of Judea), unnamed Jewish elders and Pontius Pilate (Roman Prefect of Judea) are also named in the suit. Dola is quoted in a Jerusalem Post article accusing Pontius Pilate of “judicial misconduct, abuse of office, bias and prejudice.”  The lawyer also says the information used to convict Jesus was flawed. Though Jesus’ trial took place 2,000 years earlier, Dola believes both Italy and Israel are still in some sense culpable. Dola first took his case before a Kenyan court in 2007, but the court refused to hear the case stating it lacked jurisdiction, He recently decided to petition the International Court of Justice in The Hague. Though it is very doubtful the court will hear his case, Dola noted the Roman Catholic church …

Famous Jewish Rabbi codes Jesus as the Messiah

When Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri died in January 2006 over 200,000 people lined the streets of Jerusalem to watch his funeral procession. He was one of the most famous rabbis in Israel at the time. Born around 1900 his age was estimated to be between 106 and 108 at his passing. Shortly before his death, Kaduri did something very mysterious. He wrote a message on a piece of paper, sealed it, and told his followers they must wait until a year after his death before opening it. The note, he said, would reveal the name of the Jewish Messiah. And on top of that, the old Rabbi told his supporters the message was written in code. Incredibly, when the letter was opened in February 2007, Kaduri declared Jesus Christ the Messiah of the Jews. Kaduri the Kabbalist Kaduri was a Kabbalist — a mystic Jew. The Kabbalah are considered by many to be holders of the secrets of the Jewish faith. Much of their beliefs are derived from two books — the Zohar and Sefer Yezirah — said to …

Surprise, the Bible is Norway’s top selling book

NORWAY: It’s shocking to many, but in 2012, the Bible was the number one selling book in Norway and continues to do well in 2013. Norway is considered one of the world’s most secular nations. It has a population of 5 million people and only about 50,000 people (1%) regularly attend church. In 2011, Norway’s Bible Society (NBS) released a new version of the Bible called The Scriptures, replacing a version introduced 33 years earlier. Written in Norwegian, The Scriptures is more readable and accurate than the old. People are still trying to understand why The Scriptures suddenly became so popular in this very secular nation?  Last year,  it sold nearly 160,000 copies surpassing even 50 Shades of Grey. Some attribute the Bible’s success to a slick advertising campaign geared to the youth, while a NBS spokesman wondered if increased immigration may have in an odd way played a role. Many new immigrants are arriving with strong religious beliefs and this may have sparked renewed interest among Norwegians in their own religion. Curiously, another significant spiritual event took place in …

New Head of Anglican church “Speaks in Tongues”

On March 21, 2013, Justin Welby – 57 – was appointed the 105th Archbishop of Canterbury replacing Rowan Williams as head of the 77-million strong Anglican church. In an interview with Charles Moore of the Daily Telegraph, Justin who is an evangelical, admitted he spoke in tongues. Tongues is a gift of the Holy Spirit first manifested on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:2-4). Today, it is part of the spiritual life of those in pentecostal churches and the charismatic movement. Describing his experience, the Archbishop said, “It’s just a routine part of spiritual discipline – you choose to speak and you speak a language that you don’t know. It just comes.” The Archbishop became a Christian while attending Trinity College. He even remembered the day — October 12, 1975.  He was praying with a Christian friend when he felt “a clear sense of something changing, a presence of something that had not been there before in my life.”  Up to this point, the Archbishop said was “vaguely” aware of God. He was so embarrassed …

Study shows Marijuana usage by teens may increase risk of schizophrenia and psychiatric problems

Researchers at the University of Maryland School of Medicine concluded regular use of Marijuana by teens could lead to psychiatric problems and increased risk of schizophrenia. According to an article in the National Post, researchers came to this conclusion after studying the effects of marijuana on lab mice. After subjecting young lab mice to low doses of marijuana for a 20 day period, they discovered their test mice had significant damage to their “cortical oscillations” which impaired brain functions. The researchers said, “The striking finding is that, even though the mice were exposed to very low drug doses, and only for a brief period during adolescence, their brain abnormalities persisted into adulthood.” The concern is during human adolescence, the front part of the brain is still developing and that marijuana usage would similarly affect brain development of teens. “Previous research has shown that children who started using marijuana before the age of 16 are at greater risk of permanent cognitive deficits, and have a significantly higher incidence of psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia.” said the researchers. …

Twittering your way to heaven?

The Roman Catholic Church announced July 16, 2013, it was offering indulgences to anyone who follows Pope Paul Francis on Twitter. The offer was made by the Apostolic Penitentiary which handles indulgence offers on behalf of the Vatican. The Pope had over 2.6 million Twitter followers prior to the indulgence announcement. In Catholic Theology, indulgences are officially recognized good works used to reduce the amount of time a person spends in purgatory after they die. Purgatory or limbo is a place where Catholics are purged of their sins prior

King Solomon’s lame excuse for high taxes

The recent discovery of a palace and tax collection building belonging to King David is a bit ironic. It was the first major discovery of buildings connected to King David in Israel. It’s ironic a tax collection building was part of this significant find, because years later it was the tax policy of David’s grandson that ripped Israel in half — forming Judah and Israel. The problems started when David’s son Solomon became king. He undertook massive building projects requiring him to raise taxes to pay for them. Though
