97 | How God conned the Egyptian Pharaoh using his own beliefs

In this podcast, I discuss two incidents in the Exodus account, when God delivered Israel out of Egypt, that has always puzzled me.

Christian mother sues school for forcing her four-year-old child to participate in a gay-pride parade

A Christian mother in England has taken legal action against the school her four-year-old child attends, because teachers forced him to participate in a gay-pride parade in 2018, against his family’s wishes, the Daily Mail reports. In June 2018, Heavers Farm Primary School in London sent a letter to parents inviting them to participate in a gay pride parade on June 29, 2018. When Izzy Montague, 38, responded and asked that her child be exempt from attending, a teacher told her that attendance was mandatory. Montague says that she and her husband are devout Christians and do not believe their child should be forced to participate in an event that the family does not agree with. In an interview with Christian Concern (below), Montague said there were several parents who expressed concerns about their child’s participation in the parade, but were ignored. Montague added that these children did not consent to participate in this parade. Montague says that when she met with her child’s teacher in September, 2018, the teacher’s child was wearing a t-shirt …

Because of overwhelming interest, the finale of ‘The Chosen’ will have an extended stay in theaters

Because of overwhelming interest, the season finale of The Chosen, a TV series based on the life of Jesus, will have an extended stay in theaters, the Daily Wire reports. Season three’s final two episodes, 7 and 8, were scheduled to play in selected theaters across America on Feb 2 and Feb 3, however, because of interest CBN is reporting that this will now be extended to Feb 6. The finale will feature one of the major Gospel stories, the feeding of the 5,000. When the first two episodes of Season 3 aired in 2,012 theaters in November 2022, they were the third most watch movie in America that weekend, grossing $8.7 million. It finished behind, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and The Menu which were seen in over 3,000 theaters that same weekend, but was ahead of Disney productions. The Chosen differs from many Christians movies about Jesus and the disciples, because it portrays them a real, quirky people. “[They are] real, vaguely neurotic people, busting free of the stained-glass images that have long enshrined …

Is It Time To Make a Change In Your Environment?

By Rick Renner

Your biggest potential enemy in life (besides your own wrong thinking and the devil himself) is the environment in which you live. For instance, if you constantly live in an atmosphere of doubt and unbelief, it’s just a fact that you’ll have a much more difficult time maintaining a walk of strong faith. That doubt-filled environment will try to rub off on you!

Study: Antarctica and the Arctic have not warmed in 70 years despite increasing CO2 emissions

Climate Alarmists have been warning for years that because of man-made global warming, the Antarctica ice caps were going to melt and basically wash away our coastal cities. In August 2021, the left-wing website, Salon, posted an article entitled, “This is what New York City will look like after climate change” to stoke those fears of what will happen if we don’t quit driving SUVs. It wrote that “Scalding temperatures, rising sea levels and changing weather will fundamentally remake the Big Apple.” But there is a problem with this hyper-fear mongering because it seems that despite record amounts of CO2 still being poured into the earth’s atmosphere, the Arctic and Antarctica have not gotten warmer over the past seventy years. The Daily Skeptic provides more details: “A recent paper from two climate scientists (Singh and Polvani) accepts that Antarctica has not warmed in the last seven decades, despite an increase in the atmospheric greenhouse gases. It is noted that the two polar regions present a “conundrum” for understanding present day climate change, as recent warming differs …

Catholic students wearing pro-life caps were kicked out of the Smithsonian?

The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C has allegedly kicked out a group of Catholic high school students because they were wearing hats with a pro-life message, The Blaze reports. The students, who attend a Catholic school in Greenville County, South Carolina, were in the city for the annual March for Life held on Jan 20, 2023, and decided to visit the museum. Shortly after entering they were approached by a security guard and told to leave because the museum was a ‘neutral zone.’ The parents allege it was due to the tuques the students were wearing. In an interview with WYFF-TV, Nora Kriegel, one of the parents of the children involved, said: “They should be allowed to wear the hats that they were wearing and to be able to express themselves. And I felt it was very wrong that this person harassed them.“ American Center of Law and Justice immediately stepped up to represent the students. The Smithsonian has since apologized after hearing about the incident and added that steps were …

The Lord of Hosts

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage battle according to the flesh, 4 for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. (2 Corinthians 10:3-4) We are involved in a spiritual battle, and sometimes it is easy to forget this important fact. Yet, when we look at the Bible, warfare is perhaps its central message and that comes through in one of the names of God, the Lord of Hosts, Yahweh–Sabaoth, which literally means the Lord of armies. God is referred to by this name 290 times in the Bible, more than the total of all other names of God combined. These include the names we are more familiar with such as, Yahweh-Rapha, the Lord is my healer or Yahweh-Jirah, the Lord is my provider. Even the name, Yahweh-Nissi, the Lord is my banner, had military implications as flags or standards were also used to rally troops. The name showed up in Exodus 17:15-16, when Moses used it to describe the altar …

Why is the Communist China interested in buying up American farmland?

In an article for Fox News, Jeremy Hunt writes that over the past ten years, the value of land owned by corporations with ties to Communist China has increased from an estimated value of $80 million in 2010 to $1.8 billion in 2020. Hunt, who works as a media fellow at Hudson Institute, then explains why the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is so interested in buying up farmland in America: Home to 20 percent of the global population, but only 7 to 9 percent of the world’s arable land, China is an extreme food shortage. To combat the crisis, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) devised a decades-long strategy of purchasing millions of acres of American farmland, livestock, seeds and food supply lines from the United States. Hunt adds that members of congress will soon be introducing a bill, the PASS Act, that would prevent Russia, China, North Korea and Iran from purchasing American farmland. The Act would also prevent the purchase of Agricultural related businesses. For a list of some Agricultural related industries that Communist …

Pro-life protestor found not guilty by a jury of his peers

A pro-life dad who was arrested at gunpoint by the FBI has been found not guilty by a jury of his peers, The Blaze reports. The Federal Justice Department had charged Mark Houck, 48, under the FACE act with trying to “injure, intimidate and interfere” with an individual who was working for a Planned Parenthood clinic. The Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act makes it illegal to interfere, intimidate or injure anyone seeking an abortion. The charge arose after Houck pushed a 72-year-old man who was volunteering to escort people into the Planned Parenthood Elizabeth Blackwell Health Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in October 2021. Houck admitted shoving the man, but said it had nothing to do with the man’s volunteer work with the clinic, but because the man had been harassing Houck’s 12-year-old son. If found guilty under the FACE Act, Houck faced a potential 11-year sentence and a $350,000 fine. Many believe the case was brought forth by the Federal Justice Department simply to intimidate pro-lifers and other people of faith. Houck …

Dolly Parton puts prophetic dream to music

With a career spanning over 50 years, Dolly Parton, 77, is a country music legend and also a Christian. Recently she wrote a song entitled, “Don’t Make Me Have to Come Down There,” which was based on a dream that she described as ‘something special,’ CBN reports. “I had a dream that God was standing on a mountain and looking down at us saying ‘don’t make Me come down there’,” Parton explained on Instagram. “It woke me up, and I got up and started writing this song over a period of weeks and months.” This divine warning became the basis of the lyrics for her song: “Last night I had a dream about God/He was standing on a mountain top/Looking down, around in such dismay,And in my dream, I heard him sayDon’t make Me have to come down thereMy children, you had best bewareIf you don’t pay attention, consequences will be direDon’t make Me have to come down there.” In the song, Dolly also speaks about natural phenomena such as earthquakes, erratic weather, and pandemics …
