Britain: 30% of COVID deaths died from other causes?

According to researchers from Oxford University, at least 30% of the people in Britain who the government listed as dying from COVID during July and August actually died from other causes, such as cancer and even car accidents. The government has even acknowledged that COVID was not the primary cause of death for many of the people on the list, but were included because they tested positive for COVID. In other words, the Coronavirus numbers are padded. The Daily Mail explains: A third of the people recorded to have died from Covid-19 in July and August may have actually passed away due to other causes, such as cancer and even included people who had been killed after being hit by a car Oxford University research has suggested.   Experts at Oxford University have found that around 30 per cent of those included in the Office for National Statistics’ (ONS) coronavirus deaths toll over the summer actually died primarily from other conditions. […] The team from Oxford University is concerned that the over counting will get worse …

‘Fear and faith cannot live in the same house’

There is a story out of California how a 33-year-old man allegedly struck an 84-year-old woman in the face because she was attending a small pro-Trump rally in Aliso Viejo. When Alvin Shaw saw the group, he confronted them and in addition to hitting the 84-year-old woman, the man allegedly struck two other people, pushing one of them to the ground. When the man allegedly pulled a knife, a retired police officer at the rally drew his gun. The man dropped his knife and fled, but was caught and held until the police showed up. But I was struck by the comments of Cynthia Cantrelle-Westman, who also attended the rally, found in the last four paragraphs of the Daily Mail article: In a Facebook post, Cantrelle-Westman said she was interviewed by the investigation team at the police station in Aliso Viejo. She says she wants to ‘speak openly about the mayhem’ because she considers the gathering ‘a beautiful event that went south because of one individual. ‘Fear and faith cannot live in the same house.‘ …

Power of worship: Boy raised from the dead after drowning

An incredible story out of North Carolina arguably displays the power of worship. As they do every year, in 2019 the Floyd family headed to Holden Beach with family and friends to celebrate the fourth of July. But their annual visit took a dramatic change when they noticed the body of their 12-year-old son, Levi, floating motionless in the water. When their son’s lifeless body was dragged out of the water, he had no pulse. Leah, who is a member of the family and a nurse, immediately began performing CPR. She was quickly joined by two other nurses at the beach, and they rotated in giving CPR and performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. But because nothing was happening, Leah believed there was no hope. Levi was dead. As the rest of the family stood by praying, things dramatically changed when Levi’s sister Lily started singing a worship song, “The King is alive.” In the interview with The 700 Club, Levi’s mother, Lindsey, described what happened next as the whole family joined in singing the song: “It was …

Are we entering the ‘Time of Jacob’s Trouble’?

An old saying suggests that if we don’t learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it. So what happens if we don’t remember it? A survey conducted of adults between the ages of 18 to 39 (millennials and Gen Z) by Claims Conference (Conference on Jewish Material Claims against Germany) discovered that nearly 66% of young Americans were not aware that the Nazis slaughtered six million Jews in concentration camps during the World War II Holocaust. And the survey also revealed other disturbing news: 23% though the Holocaust was either a myth or was exaggerated or had no opinion. 36% believed less than two million Jews were killed. 12% said they had definitely never heard of the Holocaust. 48% could not provide the name of a Nazi concentration camp. But what is equally concerning is that in New York nearly 20% of millennials blamed the Jews for the Holocaust. It was Jew’s fault that the Nazi’s slaughtered millions of them in the gas chambers. This type of thinking does not bode well for the …

Stillborn deaths surged during COVID lockdowns

I have previously reported on how many are suggesting the lock downs have done more damage than the virus. Suicides are up. Depression is up. Drug abuse is up. Alcohol abuse is up. Unemployment up. There have been lots of “unintended consequences” as a result of the COVID lockdowns. Add one more to the list. Reports are coming in from around the world that the number of stillborn deaths surged during the pandemic as pregnant women, either hindered by lock down restrictions or fears of COVID, did not seek medical help. Some countries reported that stillborn deaths were up 50%. The Blaze reports: An array of studies show that stillbirths have surged globally following lockdowns imposed in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19, and researchers speculate the link could be from pregnant women avoiding hospitals and clinics out of fear of catching the virus while seeking prenatal care. Nature cited a slew of studies this week in reporting that stillbirth rates have risen “dramatically” since the pandemic began, and that “emerging data link disrupted …

Sweden video: Count the number of face masks

Undoubtedly, many of you are wondering how things are going in Sweden these days. Sweden never instituted a lock down deciding the best way to combat COVID was through herd immunity, letting people get it, and build up an immunity to the virus. (80% of the people who catch COVID will have little or no symptoms.) It worked, the pandemic is essentially over in Sweden. This video from Stockholm uploaded on Sept. 11, 2020 kind of explains it all. Make sure you have your calculator out to keep track of the number of people wearing face masks. (Note there are face masks, just not the COVID kind.)

Minneapolis city council wonders why crime is rising

Minneapolis council members have been criticizing the police and calling for the department’s defunding since George Floyd’s death at the end of May. In June, the Democrat council voted to unanimously to abolish the police department. So, people were caught off a bit off guard during a two-hour meeting discussing police reform, when city politicians started complaining to the city’s chief of Police about rising crime rates:

Brett chose not to become a stabbing victim

In a video on CBN, Brett Lynn, who works as a mechanic in a family owned business in Philadelphia explains how the Holy Spirit stopped him from becoming a stabbing victim. In 2013, he had just dropped his children off at gymnastics, and he was pulling into the driveway of his home around 6 PM when he noticed someone trying to break into vehicles in the lot of the family business near his home. Brett got out of his car and confronted the man. But the man immediately reacted when Brett told him to leave. Brett braced for a physical confrontation, but unknown to Brett, the man had a knife and stabbed Brett in gut and then ran off. At first Brett thought he had been punched but when he grabbed his stomach, he actually felt his intestines. But as the ambulance was taking him to the hospital, the Holy Spirit was already speaking to Brett about needing to forgive the man. The man who stabbed Brett had graduated from Brett’s high school, and had …
