They have over 680,000 subscribers on YouTube and their 336 videos have been viewed over 57 million times since they started their channel in May 2023. They have nearly 950,000 followers on Instagram and their podcast on Spotify has a 4.9/5.oo rating based on over 6,000 reviews.

Los Angeles-based actresses Arielle Reitsma, 34, and Angela Halili, 28, are having an impact through their podcast Girls Gone Bible. The name is a spin off of the Girls Gone Wild, as Angela explains “We’re a couple of girls who used to be wild.”

In their YouTube moniker, they describe themselves as “a couple of imperfect girls serving an absolutely perfect God.” Their desire is to encourage girls to go for Jesus.

Both women come from a Catholic background and have since made a commitment to Christ. As part of their Catholic faith both were baptized as children, but have since demonstrated their faith through a believer’s water baptism.

They cover multiple topics in their podcasts including alcohol as Angela testifies how Jesus delivered her from an alcohol addiction in 2019, which she turned to in order to deal with her panic attacks as she was trying to break into Hollywood.

On Thanksgiving, I stopped drinking,” Angela said in their opening podcast where both shared their testimony. “It was not by my own might, it was not by my own strength. Jesus took (away) the desire to drink. He went into my brain and rewired it.”

There is nothing more that makes you a slave than thinking about yourself all day long,” she continued..

Coming out of a Hollywood lifestyle, they have also taken flack over the clothes they have worn, the NY Post reports.

One critic responded to a since deleted photo of Angela in crop top writing, “It is shameful for you to represent Jesus Christ in this manner” and then suggested they were using the Lord for “personal gain.

They responded by producing a show on modesty, where Angela confessed, “I have worn some questionable things, I’ve posted some questionable things… I thought there was a time in my life where I thought that being provocative was empowering.

Modesty is the art of walking with Jesus and it’s something that we genuinely take seriously,” Angela said.

Arielle who has also been criticized over some of her photos, added, “We understand that with the platform that we have we need to do right. we do not want to be ignorant. We want to glorify god. We can’t just talk the talk, we have to walk the walk.”

Like her podcast partner, Arielle also struggled with anxiety about her acting career.

I was someone who was an overthinker, who dwelled. I didn’t have much faith because I was in constant worry about what was going to happen next. It was such a horrible way to live,” Arielle said.

She added that. she was only capable of dealing with this worry by trusting God.

I haven’t felt worried about my career. I don’t care if I get the job, I really don’t. If I never work in acting again, all right,” Arielle said. “If I do, thank You, Jesus. Whatever. He has a beautiful plan for my life no matter what.”

Since their start in the spring of 2023, the duo have expanded their content. They are also interviewing other Christian leaders on a variety of topics ranging from spiritual warfare to purity to the power of prayer.
