Yesterday, we reported on how God is moving among young men in Finland. This has resulted in a significant increase in the number of those aged 15 to 29 who attend church, triple the number of young women who attend.

Today, we are discussing how a similar thing took place last year among the players of the University of Michigan Wolverines. The team won the 2024 US College football championship, beating the second-ranked Washington Huskies 34-13 in a game played on Jan. 8, 2024.

However, in addition to winning championships on the football field, there were also victories in the spiritual realm this past season.

In an interview with sports commentator Jon Root, Wolverine head coach, Jim Harbaugh shared how nearly 70 of the 100+ players on the football team were water baptized in 2023 as part of their declaration of faith in Christ, CBN reports.

The Root and Harbaugh were attending the annual pro-life rally in Washington, DC when the interview took place.

Harbaugh went on to describe what happened among his players as a ‘mini-revival.’

“There’s a spiritual mission to our team,” Harbaugh told Root. “I’m inspired by them…[it’s] inspirational. The young players on our team are incredible examples.”

This includes Donovan Edwards, the team’s running back, who has been outspoken about his faith throughout the team’s successful season.

“I’m blessed. I’m able to do that because I can revert back to the situation that I did today and not worry myself and just let everything flow,” Edwards said in an interview with WXYA-TV. “But God played through me and that’s what I did today, you know, for the success that I had, it was nothing but God, you know. Trust in the process, the process with Him.”

He also told the WolverineWire, that God spoke to him while he was making the decision to commit to the Wolverines for his college football.

“And before I committed to Michigan, I heard a voice saying, ‘Do not worry, everything will be all right.’ And I figured out it was God talking to me,” Edwards said.

“After I heard that voice, I’ve always believed,” Edwards added. “I had a spiritual vision, just God giving me the ability to see what he has planned has always allowed me to stay grounded.”

Edwards, who was raised in a Christian home by his grandmother, added that since joining the Wolverines, his spiritual life has gone to another level.

The prophet Joel spoke of God pouring out His Holy Spirit on the world in the end times. “Your sons and daughters will prophesy,” Joel prophesied as a result, and “your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.”

But did you notice how Joel stated that this move of the Holy Spirit would specifically target young people, ‘your sons and daughters’ and ‘young men.’
