According to a recent poll conducted by the American Bible Society, 52% of Americans stated that they want to read their Bible more, Christian Headlines reports.

When asked what is preventing them from accomplishing this goal:

  • 26% stated they never seem to have enough time;
  • 17% said they didn’t know where to start;
  • 15% noted that they weren’t all that excited about doing it; and
  • 15% said they found the Biblical language difficult to ‘relate to’. (Note: This may be a reference to the King James Bible).

The same survey found that 14% of Americans said that they are already reading their Bible more this year, than last.
