“Did you ever think you’d be part of an underground church” in Canada?

It is unbelievable this is happening in a democracy, but a church in Canada has been forced to go underground in order to hold services. On Wednesday, April 7, 2021, RCMP showed up at GraceLife church outside of Spruce Grove, Alberta, and put up double barricades around the building to prevent people from attending services. The church had been holding services in defiance of the provincial lockdown that limits attendance to 15% of capacity. It’s pastor, James Coates, was also in jail for 35 days when he was arrested for breaking the lockdown rules. None of the charges against Coates warranted jail time, only fines, yet Coates ended up in jail because the RCMP demanded Coates voluntarily sign an undertaking that he would not attend services. Coates refused so, the RCMP refused to release the pastor. He was eventually released once that undertaking was removed. His court case is scheduled for May 3, 2021 where he is facing a fine of $1,500 for violating lockdown orders. With its building barricaded, this past Sunday (April 11, …

Are the lockdowns about COVID or CONTROL?

A story out of Scotland makes a person wonder if the lockdowns were actually about COVID. They may have started that way, but I wonder if the power has gone to some people’s heads. The Daily Mail reports that Maureen Hogg, an 82 year-old-grandmother, was fined £60 for attending a birthday party for a friend celebrating her 70th birthday. The police not only broke up the party attended by seven other people, but also fined every one of them for ‘anti-social behaviour.’ Here is the kicker: All of them were vaccinated for COVID. The Daily Mail provides the details: An 82-year-old grandmother has been fined £60 for attending a seven-person lockdown-breaching 70th birthday party – even though every reveller was vaccinated. Maureen Hogg, from Eaglesham, East Renfrewshire, was given the notice for antisocial behaviour after police broke up the celebration.  All seven attendees received a fine for £60, even though each one of them had both doses of the Covid-19 jab. Ms Hogg’s granddaughter Daisy Hogg, 17, said her grandmother questioned ‘why she needs to shield if she has the vaccine’. …

Belgium judge orders government to end lockdown

A judge in Belgium has ordered the country to end the county-wide lockdown within 30 days. The Brussels Times writes: The Belgian State has been ordered to lift “all coronavirus measures” within 30 days, as the legal basis for them is insufficient, a Brussels court ruled on Wednesday. The League for Human Rights had filed the lawsuit several weeks ago and challenged Belgium’s system of implementing the measures using Ministerial Decrees, which means it is done without any input from parliament. The judge gave the Belgian State 30 days to provide a sound legal basis, or face a penalty of €5,000 per day that this period is exceeded, with a maximum limit of €200,000, reports Le Soir. READ: Belgium must lift ‘all Covid-19 measures’ within 30 days, Brussels court rules The judge essentially ruled that the government utilized the Civil Safety Act of 2007 to institute the lockdown that gives the government extreme power in emergency situations. The judge ruled that the government must now prove its extreme lockdown measures are necessary and that they work. …

Why did Jesus die so fast on the cross?

One of the questions often asked about Christ’s crucifixion is why did Jesus die so fast? According to the Gospel writers, Jesus had been on the cross about six hours (9 am to 3 pm) before He died. Crucifixion was a favoured form of execution used by the Romans because not only was it brutal but there were tricks that could extend the excruciating punishment for days. Since people were hung onto the cross by hammering their arms and feet into the wood, they normally died by suffocation. As they hung from their arms, their chest cavity was stretched out making it impossible to breathe. In order to breathe they had to painfully push up with their feet in order to gain a breath. Death would finally come when the person no longer had the strength to push up for air. If the Romans wanted to be extremely brutal, they would put a seat on the cross so the person could rest which would extend the dying process for days. But the Roman’s crucifixion of …
