This story is about two supernatural miracles that reveal the Holy Spirit is working today.
Both of them took place in Africa. One involves a Muslim Imam in Egypt. The second involves an American couple who were on a mission trip in Uganda.
Signs and Wonders in Egypt
The first involves a miraculous dream that resulted in a Muslim imam to becoming a Christian.
Unchartered Ministries takes the gospel to areas of the world where Christians are facing persecution. Recently one of its missionaries, shared how Ahmed, the Muslim leader of a village became a Christian, CBN reports.
Rahman and his team were ministering in a village located on the edge the Egyptian desert when they came in contact with the local Islamic teacher.
Ahmed’s devotion to Islam was clearly visible in the ‘zabiba’ on his forehead. This is a callous that develops from years of pressing one’s head on the prayer mat, five time a day.
But Ahmed was very interested in talking to them because he had a dream the night before.
“Last night, a man dressed in bright white came to me in a dream. He said, ‘I am Jesus Christ,’” Ahmed said. “I don’t know who that is, so I asked him to tell me more about himself. The man in white said, ‘Tomorrow you will meet a man named Rahman and he will tell you all about me.’ So, Rahman, who is Jesus?”
After explaining salvation, Ahmed took the Rahman back to his home and his whole family became Christian. Today Ahmed now works with Unchartered Ministries.
But it often takes these type of supernatural interventions for Muslims to become Christians. This is because they typically pay a huge costs for leaving Islam.
Joel prophesied that dreams and visions would come in the end times as part of an outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Joel 2:28).
Tasha Layton’s Miracle Baby
Tasha Layton is a contemporary Christian artist. Her recordings have included hit singles such as “Into the Sea (It’s Gonna Be OK)” and “Look What You’ve Done.”
After receiving a Masters of Divinity, in 2010 she made it to the third Hollywood round on American Idol. From there, she transitioned to a back up singer for Katy Perry on one of her world tours, before starting her own career.
Tasha married music producer Keith Everette Smith and today they have two children. But this only happened after Keith experienced a miraculous healing, Faithwire reports.
Because of an earlier back injury, Keith was infertile and unable to father children.
But the two were on a mission trip to Uganda when the Holy Spirit healed Keith.
They were both leading a worship service, when Keith experienced so much pain that he had to kneel to the ground and pray.
“I was leading a song called ‘Miracles,’” Tasha said. “And I looked to my right and Keith is on the ground crying, and he comes up to me in the middle of the song and he says, ‘I think God just healed my back.’”
Because of what happened, the ministry team then prayed for Keith and Tasha so they could conceive children. Three months later, Tasha was pregnant with her first child.
