Christian ad, ‘Love Your Enemies’, second most engaged commercial during Super Bowl game

According to EDO, a Christian ad that ran during the Superbowl was the second most engaged ad during the NFL championship game, coming in second to a Warner Brother commercial about its upcoming movie, The Flash, CBN reports. EDO is a multimedia company that measures people’s engagement in ads. The 60-second black and white commercial entitled “Love Your Enemies”, was produced by He Gets Us, a Christian organization founded in 2022 to spread the news about Christ online through radio, TV and digital advertising. The organization is funded in part by Hobby Lobby CEO David Green and other donors. The ad predictably drew criticism from the radical left with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) tweeting “Something tells me Jesus would not spend millions of dollars on Super Bowl ads to make fascism look benign.” READ: ‘Love Your Enemies’: Jesus Ad Was Second-Most Engaged Commercial During Super Bow

God gave Cooper Kupp a ‘vision’ of his MVP award and team’s Super Bowl win

A strange story has emerged out of this year’s Super Bowl game won by the Los Angeles Rams, who defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20. After the game, the Rams’ outstanding wide-receiver, Cooper Kupp, was named the game’s most valuable player, after catching eight passes for 92 yards, and two touchdowns, including the game-winner. Cooper, who is an outspoken Christian, had also won the NFL’s most valuable player award earlier this year, as he broke the previous NFL receiving record with 145 catches, 1,947 yards, and 16 touchdowns. Cooper is, so far, the only player in NFL history to win both awards in the same year. But there is more to this story. Sports Spectrum reports that Kupp shared how God told him three years earlier, that not only would his team win the Super Bowl, but when it did, Kupp would also be named the game’s MVP. But just as mysterious was the way God revealed this prophetic word to the wide receiver. Kupp received this revelation through a ‘vision’ he had while his team …

Katy Perry’s Super Bowl performance should encourage parents to pray for their children

[by Dean Smith] I am sure the Christian parents of mega-pop star Katy Perry have struggled as they watched their daughter climb the heights of stardom while seemingly walking away from her faith. Katy’s parents, Keith and Mary Hudson, are Pentecostal pastors now based in Santa Barbara, CA. They minister through the US preaching the Gospel. Katy grew up in a Christian home, attended a Christian school and for a time even sang Gospel music. But as her popularity grew, she walked away from her faith. In a 2013 interview with a woman’s magazine, Marie Claire, Katy stated she no longer “believes in an old man sitting on a throne” and certainly her lifestyle would back up that statement. But things are never as cut and dried as they seem and this applies to all children of Christian parents.
