These threats even included two Russian fighter jets that briefly flew into Swedish airspace armed with nuclear warheads on March 2, 2022. But this leads to a bigger question: Do any of the Bible’s prophets predict nuclear war will be part of the end-times apocalypse? I believe there are several prophecies that suggest this may happen, and I will look at two of them. There have been several recent reports of the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, threatening to use nuclear weapons if the West tries to intervene during Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. Putin is becoming increasingly embarrassed and even frustrated by his army’s inability to conquer the much smaller Ukraine, which is putting up a much stronger fight than expected. In a statement released on Thursday, Feb 24, 2022, Putin intimidated that the nuclear option was on the table if Western countries interfered with Russia’s invasion. “Whoever tries to hinder us, and even more so, to create threats to our country, to our people, should know that Russia’s response will be immediate,” Putin said. “And it will lead you to such consequences that you have never encountered in your history.” More recently, a senior Russian newscaster, Dmitry Kiselyov, was more blatant as he spoke of Russia’s nuclear arsenal on a recent broadcast as a warning to the US and any country that would try to intervene on Ukraine’s behalf. “Our submarines can shoot more than 500 nuclear warheads,” Kiselyov …
