Yellow stars to pink wrist bands: A failure to learn from history?

During a debate in the British House of Commons in 1948, Sir Winston Churchill said: “Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Churchill of course is the man who led England in its fight against Nazi Germany. Leading up to World War II, the Nazis forced Jews to wear yellow stars on their clothes, and to put them on their homes and businesses to indicate their status. And apparently, a county in Montana didn’t see a connection when it required people to wear government-issued, pink armbands when they went out shopping. The armbands would indicate the person had gone through a 14-day self-quarantine. According to an article on WND, Valley County Health Department (VCHD) in Glasgow stated if a person, even a visitor, wasn’t wearing a pink wrist band, then businesses could not allow these people to enter their store.
