The phrase ‘I am for Christ’ is quickly becoming one of the more dangerous phrases a person can utter, no mater where you live. According to an article on Morning Star News, uttering that phrase nearly cost Abudlawali Kijwalo, 39, his life. Kijwalo lives in Uganda and was born into a Muslim family that was noted for is dedication to Islam by making annual pilgrimages to Mecca. But Kijwalo had decided to convert to Christianity and was starting to listen to Gospel music. This angered the family and particularly his brother, Murishid, who repeatedly told Kijwalo to telling people he now believed in Jesus. It took a violent turn, when Kijwalo and his brother were looking after the family’s cattle that were grazing in a nearby pasture. According to a former executive director with the World Bank, Erik Bethel, Communist China is on the verge of creating a digital version of its currency (official called renminbi but popularly referred to as the yuan) that could result in the regime going cashless in the near future. It will be the world’s first government-backed digital currency. In an interview with CBN, Bethel states the regime’s digital currency, similar to the Bitcoin, will be controlled by the country’s national bank, the People’s Bank of China. ChinaAid recently reported on the arrest of Elder Zhang Chunlei by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in May 2021. Elder Zhang pastors the Guiyang Ren Ai Reformed Church. According to Hong Kong’s Apple Daily, in the lead up to the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) on July 1, 2021, it is flooding the few churches allowed to be open with Communist propaganda and ordering them to celebrate the CCP during services. According to reports several hundred thousand people have now abandoned the city of Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Parts of the city are now completely deserted over a looming threat of a second imminent eruption at the nearby Mount Nyiragongo that is 12 KMS (7.5 miles) away from the city.
Another volcano erupted this year, this time in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Mount Nyiragongo erupted around 7 pm on May 23, 2021 turning the sky a bright red. People in the nearby city of Goma, population 670,000, reported seeing giant flames shooting into the night sky and the smell of sulphur. Thousands are fleeing the city. The last time the 3,000-meter volcano erupted was in 2002 and resulted in the deaths of 100. An eruption in 1977 killed over 600 people. The volcano is located in the Virunga National Park which borders Rwanda. The park is home to mountain gorillas, an endangered species made famous by Dian Fossey. There have been several volcanic eruptions so far this year including two in Iceland, three in Guatemala and as well eruptions in Alaska, Indonesia, Italy, and the Caribbean island of St. Vincent. The Daily Mail is reporting that Russia is in the final testing phase of its latest super nuke that the government describes as invincible. The intercontinental ballistic missile named RS-28 Sarmat, nicknamed Satan 2, weighs 208 tons and is scheduled to be part of Russia’s nuclear arsenal in 2022. The government is planning three test launches of the ICBM this year and states it can travel 11,200 miles and is capable of reaching the continental US over the North Pole and is also capable of launching over the South Pole, in a surprise attack from an unexpected direction. Because of its launch speed and unpredictable flight, Russia states that RS-28 Sarmat will be difficult to shoot down and its payload of 10 large thermonuclear warheads is capable of devastating an area as large as the state of Texas or the combined area of England and Wales. It was similar to a war game where generals use computer simulations to determine the eventual winner in a make believe war, but it involved an asteroid. In British Columbia, the western province in Canada, environmental protesters are blocking loggers who want to cut down trees. That is not surprising. The activists would probably tell us about climate change, if we could talk to them. Also, in that part of the world, “Racism” is often presented as discrimination against native people. The natives are the “people of color” in that region, and they are concerned about their place in society. They also own the trees that the loggers want to cut down. The loggers are working for them. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) just released an app allowing people to report those who are not thinking according to communist lines. The app produced by Cyberspace Administration of China is initially focussing on people who dare to insult China’s national heroes. According to The Independent, it was released in the lead up to CCP’s 100th anniversary to deal with people “denying the excellence of advanced socialist culture.” The CCP explained the app’s purpose writing: For a while now, some people with ulterior motives have spread historically nihilistic false statements online, maliciously distorting, slandering, and denying party, national, and military history in an attempt to confuse people’s thinking. According to an article on Forbes, a lunar eclipse is scheduled to make an appearance on May 26, 2021. This will result in what is typically referred to as a blood moon, when the moon briefly turns red. Blood moons occur during full and partial lunar eclipses when the earth blocks the suns rays from hitting the moon. During a lunar eclipse, the sun’s shorter-light wave lengths (blue and violet) bend around the Earth’s atmosphere, leaving only the longer-colour wave lengths in the Earth’s shadow — red, yellow or orange — which in turn gives the moon a blood-red appearance. The event is being referred to as a super blood moon because it involves a full eclipse of the moon and will be visible in North and South America and as well parts of Asia, Australian and islands in the Pacific Ocean. In Jesus’ warning about the end times, the Lord stated that it will be like the days of Noah (Luke 17:26-27). And a recent story about how a group of scientists is mixing human DNA with Monkey DNA may be a sign we are entering these end of the age days. In his vision of the end times, the Apostle John reported two interesting incidents taking place that would have a profound impact on the end times. In the first few verses of Revelation 9, the Apostle John saw a star falling from heaven with a key that unlocked the abyss releasing a horde of demonic locusts on the earth. These creatures described as having human faces were allowed to torment the world for five months. In verse 11, we are told that the king of this army of locusts was Abbadon or Apollyon that literally means ‘the destroyer’. In an interview with CBN, Wycliffe Bible Translator (WBT) President John Chestnut said that the COVID pandemic has only slightly disrupted the organization’s mission of translating the Bible into the language of all the people groups in the world. In fact, Chestnut noted that in some instances translation efforts actually increased as workers were not disrupted by other activities. However, other translations were slowed down because of the inability of workers to travel to different regions. So far WBT has translated the Bible into 500 different languages and is currently working on 2,700 translations. At this point, there are 4,700 language groups involving nearly 1.5 billion people in 167 countries that do not have a Bible in their language. The organization’s goal is to have the 2,700 translations it’s currently working on completed over the next four years, with the goal of starting translating the Bible for the remaining 2,000 languages in 2025. The prophet Joel warned in the days leading up to the second coming of Christ, there would be so many volcanic eruptions taking place in the world, that the ash would darken the sun and turn the moon blood-red (Joel 2:31). Speaking of the end times, the prophet Joel said one of the signs that Jesus second coming was imminent was the appearance of columns of smoke towering up into the sky. Ironically, he noted that these ministries were the polar opposite of what they were intended to represent. In the book, they are described as: The Ministry of Peace concerns itself with war, the Ministry of Truth with lies, the Ministry of Love with torture and the Ministry of Plenty with starvation.
