Extinction Rebellion (XR) is a radical environmental group that has been causing a major disruption of traffic in Britain over that past couple weeks as it demands the country take more radical steps to stop global warming.
It is part of a two-week protest called ‘Impossible Rebellion’.
But a recent rally at London’s Trafalgar Square exposed the radical political agenda that is behind XR and as well many environmental groups.
Breitbart reports that at demonstrations held this past week, a spokesperson for Extinction Rebellion, who coincidentally also happened to be a member of the Marxist-Leninist Revolutionary Communist Group, was addressing the protestors telling them that the Britain needed to embrace communism to end global warming.
Breitbart reported on a few of her comments:
“The only logical response to the urgency of the climate crisis is through an anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist socialist movement built here on our streets.”
“Environmental destruction is an essential part of the capitalist mode of production. Any movement that is not anti-imperialist will simply be green imperialism. Socialism is the only alternative to the destruction born through capitalism, the needs of the people and the planet are put before profits.”
The Extinction Rebellion spokeswoman then cited Cuba as an example of how communism stops global warming:
“Cuba shows that socialism is the only system capable of marshalling the organisation necessary for a sustainable future by returning the power to the working-class masses.”
Yes, tyranny and poverty can do that.
This is not the first time Extinction Rebellion has done this.
A couple of years back, XR extremists were climbing onto subway trains in London, stopping people from going to work. They were quickly hauled off by the less than amused passengers, who wondered why the extremists were protesting the use of environmentally-friendly electric subways? Of course, everyone is presuming these protests are actually about saving the environment. A few words from the founder of Extinction Rebellion reveals its true agenda, as interviewer Andrew Neil asked why XR is focussing on Britain that produces 1% of the world’s CO2 emissions, and not Communist China that produces nearly 30%:
