Fox News recently did a story on the invisible crisis caused by the lockdowns, surging deaths from opioid overdoses. The article stated that job losses and the social isolation caused by the lockdowns are major contributors to these overdose deaths. It is another in a long list of stories on how the lockdown cure is more dangerous than the disease.
Fox News explains:
Opioid deaths in Onondaga County, N.Y., jumped to 86 in the first six months of 2020, according to the county health department. This number was nearly double the reported 44 fatalities in the first half of 2019, the outlet reported, citing the county medical examiner’s office.
Oregon saw a 70% increase in opioid overdose deaths in April and May 2020 compared to the same time last year, the Oregon Health Authority said.
I had previously reported how Franklin County in Ohio, one of the state’s 88 counties, reported that drug overdoses were up 73% in the first six months of the year compared to last year. READ: Overdose Deaths Explode In Ohio County After Lockdown, Coroner Cites Joblessness
Is Communist China also part of the problem?
Not sure if this is related, but WND reports:
Well-known China expert Gordon Chang has concluded that China is killing Americans “deliberately” with its export of fentanyl.
Writing for the Gatestone Institute, he quotes Fox News host Tucker Carlson stating it’s a fact that “fentanyl and Covid both came from China, China’s our main rival, they’re benefiting from the deaths of many thousands of Americans.”
Chang writes that China has been pushing fentanyl into the U.S. for years, and last year fatal drug overdoses hit a record 70,980, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
